Baptism is the first of the Sacraments of Christian Initiation which introduces a person to the Christian community, the body of Christ. A baptized person shares in the kingship, the prophetic ministry and the priesthood of Christ. It is God’s most beautiful and magnificent gift to humanity.
For children below the age of reason (below 7 years), their parents must request and fill out the Baptismal Form. They must also attend the instruction before the sacrament is administered.
Instruction is on the last Wednesday of the month, in the Meeting Room at 7:00 pm.
For Children of catechetical age, a Rite of Christian Initiation of Adult program is required.
Godparents must not be less than sixteen years of age. They must be fully initiated in the Catholic Church and must be living a life of faith which befits the responsibility to be taken. There is to be only one male godparent or one female godparent or one of each.
Baptism is celebrated on Sundays at 12:30 pm.
